Welcome to the “Observations from a Nobody” newsletter.
What is an assumption that someone made about you that is completely wrong?
Welcome to the “Observations from a Nobody” newsletter.
Question of the week: What is an assumption that someone made about you that is completely wrong?
Hey, there! My name is Andrew. I’m nobody important – just an educator and chaplain with a lot of questions and curiosity about what people think. I love conversations that challenge and allow me to collect ideas for lessons, moments of leadership, or advice. This curiosity inspired me to start something fun.
It’s called, Observations from a Nobody.
As an educator, I feel that time moves at an impossible pace and it’s often difficult to find inspiration or creativity for a lesson. I understand the hard work and dedication it takes to lead a team. If you’re anything like me, I need a little help sometimes.
That’s the goal of this newsletter – offering observations that inspire you to create new lessons, messages, ideas, or perspectives.
Let me be direct - your time is valuable. That's why this newsletter is designed to be short yet meaningful:
On the 1st and 3rd Monday of the month – I'll pose a single question that makes you think, reflect, and perhaps see things differently. These questions will explore morality, faith, knowledge, relationships, culture, and all the spaces in between. Sometimes they'll challenge you. Sometimes they'll inspire you. Sometimes they’ll be boring and mundane. But they'll make you think.
On the 2nd and 4th Monday of the month – I’ll post the results from the questions. I’ll provide curated observations and reflections from the community’s responses. These posts will be available to paid subscribers ($5/month) and will have access to respond and engage with this newsletter community.
HERE’S WHERE I NEED YOUR HELP - I'm looking for 20 dedicated "Somebodies" to help shape this journey.
As one of these founding members, you'll:
Receive and respond to thought-provoking questions twice a month
Share your honest insights anonymously
Help create valuable reflections for educators, faith leaders, and administrators
Receive a free subscription to all paid content
Your responses will help inspire lessons, messages, presentations, and conversations across many communities.
If you're willing to commit to responding thoughtfully twice a month, please email: observationsfromanobodyletter@gmail.com
Email with "I'm Somebody" and your commitment to respond twice a month. Once you do that, I’ll add you to the free subscription (for a year). (First 20 to reply will receive the free subscription).
You'll be part of something unique. Something that starts with questions but ends with insights that could change how someone sees the world.
Want to be one of the 20? Remember, you're not just answering questions - you're helping create conversations that matter. Please respond by FEBRUARY 28th if you’re interested.
So, what is this week’s question - What is an assumption that someone made about you that is completely wrong? As this is the first week, I’d love for everyone to post to the comments below. CLICK HERE if you want to submit outside of the comments.
Be curious and stay a while. You might observe something that changes how you think.
Much grace and peace,
Andrew – a nobody.
